There's Smoke Coming From the Bar B-Q Place!
Saw this in the Austin American Statesman:
In January in Austin, Texas, a 45-minute delay occurred between when a nighttime 911 call was made to report a building on fire and the time firefighters arrived. According to the Austin American-Statesman, the delay could have been due to uncertainty about the seriousness of the "fire," in that the building in question, with smoke spewing from it, was Bert's Bar B-Q (which of course has smoke spewing from it frequently). This time, though, the building was destroyed. [Austin American-Statesman, 1-24-07]
It does cause one to stop and ponder. Think I having Luther's for lunch.
Joe.
Remember: Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet intakes.

So much for the flu shot.
Well I'm back. I have been laid up for almost 3 weeks with the flu. So much for the flu shot. It, the flu, seems to be making the rounds down here. Half the office is out sick today or has been out sick.
A friend recommend Airborne. That stuff invented by a school teacher. And I have to admit, I do feel much better when I take it when a cold is coming on. But, it didn't help a lot with the flu! So, give me a day to catch backup and I'll start updating ya'll ( That's Texan for You All) on the proceeding her at UA.
Until then, Keep Flying

New Feed Added to Our Site
Good Morning Aviation Industry!
Just a short note to direct your attention to the new feed on the right hand side. Free Software of the Day. Not entirely aviation specific, but there are some great utilities to be had. And if your a smallish company like ourselves, you'll appreciate the price.
Now if I can just keep our IT guy from seeing it's free. He's Micro$oft certified and everything cost an arm and a leg when you get it from him!
Keep flying!

Final Lost Teal Flamingo Has Been Found
AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2007 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
AirTran Airways has said that its final lost teal flamingo has been found at Akron-Canton Airport.
AirTran and the airport scattered 3,000 pink plastic yard flamingos, along with four teal misfits, across north-east Ohio as part of a marketing effort to publicise the airline's direct routes between Akron-Canton and Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Tampa and Orlando. Four grand-prize winners, who found the teal flamingos, won a set of tickets on AirTran Airways.
The 'FlaminGO' contest was launched during the airline's Fort Lauderdale flight launch celebration at the airport on 4 January 2007.
